What is a Free iCloud Check?
A Free iCloud Check is a no-cost lookup that returns model, capacity, color, Find My iPhone status, Activation Lock status, carrier, and warranty info from an IMEI or serial number — pulled directly from Apple's GSX database.
Where do I find my IMEI or serial number?
On an iPhone or iPad: Settings → General → About → IMEI/Serial Number. You can also dial *#06# on any GSM phone to display the IMEI instantly. On the device itself the serial is engraved on the SIM tray (iPhone) or back panel.
Is the free check 100% accurate?
Yes — the basic info (model, capacity, color, activation status) comes straight from Apple. For deeper data like GSX Carrier Check, FMI On/Off history, Apple Pay status or Blacklist, our paid checks add the missing pieces in a few seconds.
Does the check work on non-Apple devices?
Yes — for non-Apple IMEIs we identify the brand and model from the TAC (first 8 digits of the IMEI). Detailed Apple-style metadata (warranty, FMI) is iPhone/iPad/Mac only.
Is my IMEI safe? Do you store it?
IMEIs typed into the free checker are sent to our identification API and discarded right after the lookup. We do not link them to any account and we do not share them with third parties beyond the lookup itself.
What does Activation Lock / Find My iPhone status mean?
Activation Lock is iCloud's anti-theft feature. If FMI is ON, the device is locked to the previous Apple ID and cannot be used without that password. ALWAYS check FMI status before buying a second-hand iPhone — a clean device should report FMI: OFF.
